Born in a little town in Lower Saxony in Germany, our mapapus are created through meticulous craftsmanship and ‘grow up’ in 10 to 12 hours. A full-grown mapapu is around 45 – 50 cm tall (17 to 20 inches). Mini-mapapus vary depending on the respective body size of the t-shirts sent in. Mini-mapapus can be created from t-shirts in size 92 (age range of 2 years or 35 to 37 inches) and upwards.

It’s common knowledge that exceptions prove the rule; so we would be delighted to talk to you.

mapapus love to be hand washed and hung up to dry. Our mapapus naturally carry the CE mark and are filled with non-toxic, non-woven fabric that has been tested to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for baby articles and is also suitable for allergy sufferers. Beyond this, apart from our sewing threads we only use your t-shirts, which essentially makes it a recycling product.

Every mapapu has a secret pocket on its back. We consciously avoid using glass eyes and sewn on noses and mouths – which makes mapapus specifically suitable for kids to play with. A mapapu should have as many facets as a person has emotions.

The cost of bringing a mapapu into the world is USD 299 incl. the postage from Germany to you.

For other non-european and non-american countries please contact us.

We also offer vouchers for those who want to make a gift of a mapapu to someone special.

Discount is also available if you need more than one mapapu. In this case, please contact us! Our bank details etc. can be found in the legal notice.

Ordering is simple: just call or email us so we can discuss your order. For instance, we always like to know who the mapapu is for (girl, boy, age...) and what its role will be (friend, comforter...). All this information naturally flows into our work.

Please note that we currently have a lot of orders, so it may take up to eight weeks before your t-shirts are transformed into a mapapu and sent to you. However, you can be sure we are working hard to shorten the waiting time.

We would be delighted to help you bring your very own mapapu into the world!
